Gary Murison Bio

I live in the picturesque town of Forres, on the Moray coast of Scotland. My career background has mainly been within the care and health promotion sector and has included mental health nursing, management, training and communication. I also operate a business, Highland Neuromuscular Movement Services, which offers services aimed at reducing musculoskeletal injury via efficient movement (re)education.

Photography has been a long standing passion going back to the very first instamatic camera I received at a rather young age. Photography really opened my eyes to the world that was actaully around me and allowed me to start looking the things around me that I wouldn't have given a second glance to. 

Beauty is all around us......

The advent of digital photography offered so many opportunities that were previously very time consuming, costly, or downright difficult to achieve.

Breaking away from the norm.....The one thing I noticed with so many photographs were their similarity. Whether a landscape or portrait, many photographers were just copying what they have seen from other people. While there is nothing wrong with this, my heart lay in trying to make things different, offering a more unique experience and end product to any person I work with.

My other interests include music. I am a keen musician, having played in several bands over the years, but now content with writing and recording my own music.
